An Open Letter Of Thanks From The Family Of Max Trotter
Ben Graham posted Thursday February 18, 2010. |
The family of Max Trotter would like to send their heartfelt thanks to all those who offered their condolences, support, prayers following the recent loss of our much loved son, brother, nephew, cousin & grandson Max.
The many letters, flowers, phone calls and offers of support we have received from all over the country has been truly overwhelming.
Losing Max so unexpectedly has left a very big hole in all of our lives, but it has comforted us all greatly to know that so many people care and have been there for us all as we try and come to terms with what has happened.
To the paramedics at Redline Speedway and everybody involved in treating Max, we cannot thankyou enough for your efforts. The incredible work you all did in trying to save Max's life, and the professionalism you showed while doing it is something we will be eternally grateful for.
To the local police and ambulance officers who were in attendance and everybody associated with the Redline Speedway and the Belmont Speedway Drivers Club, thankyou for your compassion, professionalism and understanding.
To the V8 Dirt Modifieds and other competitors at Redline Speedway on the day, thankyou all for the assistance you provided, no matter how small or insignificant it may have seemed.
To Bing & Lynne Goonan, who not only conducted Max's service, but also spent several days offering counselling and support to the family following Max's passing, words cannot express the gratitude we all feel.
To everybody who sent flowers, cards, and offered their condolences and support, we thank you all greatly.
To everybody who attended Max's service, thankyou. Simply knowing you all care at a time of unimaginable grief is of great comfort to us all.
To everybody in the speedway community, thankyou all for your incredible support. To the racers in Maryborough, Kwinana, Tasmania, Horsham, Wangaratta, Redline, Adelaide, Rosedale and everywhere else who have raced in memory of Max, thankyou all so much.
We are all hurting terribly and miss Max like you wouldn't believe. What we wouldn't give to see his cheeky smile once more, or to give him a big hug, or to tell him that we love him.
Max wasn't with us for a long time, just two years in fact. But in that time he was surrounded by a loving family and despite his age, he touched the lives of many people. We will always remember a beautiful little boy and we will never, ever forget the support and compassion we have been shown by you all. Thankyou.
Aaron & Sam, Julie & Kelvin and the Trotter & Shields family.
